About franklin drama

Whether you’re stepping into drama for the first time, returning after many years, or an experienced amateur actor looking to develop your skills alongside your existing theatre work, Franklin Drama offers an enjoyable way to build confidence, develop skills and connect with others through the shared experience of theatre-making.

The weekly Franklin Drama Club begins in January 2026 and provides a regular opportunity to meet, create and develop your craft with a friendly group of adults. Alongside this, our Theatre Collective meets monthly to explore scripts, techniques and creative ideas in more depth (launching Summer 2026).

Franklin Drama is open to all. If you’re curious, creative, or seeking a supportive place to develop your craft, you’re very welcome to join us.

The Franklin Drama Club is the heart of our drama offerings. It’s a friendly, weekly space for adults to grow confidence, build skills and enjoy the shared creative experience.

Sessions blend imaginative exercises, text work and collaborative scene building in an inspiring and supportive environment.

There is no pressure to perform, though organic performance opportunities will emerge naturally as your journey with Franklin Drama unfolds. The emphasis is always on participation and enjoyment.

Who the Drama Club is for:

Beginners trying drama for the first time.
Adults returning to drama after a break.
Serious amateur actors looking to deepen skills between productions.
Anyone seeking a fun, social, creative outlet.
