Some words from our community

Muic Collective
I have done a couple of the Musicians Collectives and found them really enjoyable. You get to play with fellow musicians of all abilities - some more experienced than you and some less experienced, so it is a very eclectic but friendly group. You also get to play numbers and styles you might not consider in just casual playing. I really recommend this to all accomplished and budding musicians. Above all, It’s Bloody Good Fun.

Franklin Voices
Franklin Voices are, as a whole, the most inclusive group of people I have had the pleasure of being a part of. Nikki makes every week a joy with her incredible talent and enthusiasm.

Reigate Summer Festival Jam Session
Hi Nikki, just a quick note to thank you and your team for organising the jam session yesterday. I certainly enjoyed it as did Des and from what I saw so did everyone else. Playing in a band situation was certainly the highlight for me, not having done so for some time, the opportunity was most welcome. Please pass on my thanks to the very competent bass player and drummer - I would welcome the opportunity to play with them again if an appropriate situation comes up.

Franklin Music Networking Event

Concert Series - Tomos Boyles, May 2025
I found myself of a Tuesday evening sitting in a beautiful space listening to a musician at a grand piano blowing the socks off a piece by Rachmaninoff - can’t believe that level of experience was available just a 10 minute drive from my house! Care of Nikki at Franklin music and all the friendly team, it was a real, quality mid-week treat, and one I look forward to enjoying again soon!!

Lead and Harmonise Workshop
‘I learned a lot on this day. The great coaching and encouragement from our tutors, suited the wide mix of singing skills and ages. We all had a chance to take the lead, and harmonise in groups. There were hints and tips about mental and physical preparation, and giving yourself ‘permission’. So true! I loved every moment and best of all what great music we all made. Good for the soul.

Lead and Harmonise Workshop
This was a wonderful day led by some truly professional and amazing teachers. There were some fun exercises to start with which helped the group to get to know each other, work together and become so supportive of one another. A mix of abilities with a single goal which we all met. I’m not a confident singer but I came away with a newfound confidence and enthusiasm which I was able to put to use a few days later.

Franklin Voices
This time last year if anyone had said to me that I’d be singing in a choir, “no way” would be my answer. Looking back now, it’s the best thing I’ve ever done.
